In my time travel novel titled "Love Remains" the hero's family, Tom or Tomislav Medar, is from Croatia, while the heroine, Olivia Owen is Canadian
This is totally out of her character. She is all business and career. She believes marriage and family will only hinder her climb up the corporate ladder.
When she returns home from a business trip, she finds exactly what most terrifies her, a husband and two kids. She is undeniably attracted to him, yet she tries anything in her power to get rid off him and the kids.
Tom's gentle yet firm persuasion in both bedroom and the kitchen changes her mind and the idea of being a wife and a mom starts to grow on her. And at first she is jealous of Tom's closely knit family whose values are rooted deep in the culture and traditions, but by opening her heart to him, she too learns to accept and respect every person.

Love Remains

Release date: 15 July 2013
Love RemainsOlivia Owen, a busy, single, high-functioning, corporate executive officer, is not afraid to die a spinster for the sake of her career. But in an alternate reality world, bridged by the angel of her Down’s syndrome sister, she meets Tom Medar, a dedicated, Croatian defense attorney who dreams of the right woman, but never has time to find her. Together they foil an adulterous murder plot while discovering there’s room for love and family in their busy lives—but not before they are separated again.
When they awaken from their alternate world, will they be able to cross countries to find each other again?
by Zrinka Jelic
“In Love Remains, Ms. Jelic has once again written a highly imaginative paranormal romance with believable characters who are both flawed and compassionate and a plot that will keep you guessing until the end.” —
Debbie Christiana, author of Twin Flames and Solstice.
“Zrinka Jelic has achieved a high level of success with her time-travel story, Love Remains. Olivia had a difficult job, chopping employees’ heads, and then to travel to another dimension where she had a husband and children was felling. However, as with any Jelic story, the romance is strong and I was happy to travel with Tom and Olivia. At the end of life isn’t that what we seek—the warmth of love?” — jj Keller, Trade Agreement, LASR Best Book

  3. Tom is a proud Croatian, too. I did enjoy reading about that hunk of a man. My review is to be posted soon, but I must tell everyone that Love Remains is a wonderful book. Thank you for being part of the Color of Love Blog Hop, Zrinka.

  4. I love time travel stories. There's something magical about the simple idea that if your soulmate live(s) at a time era, you could actually travel through time to be with them. Love Remains sounds like a must read.
