Welcome to the 82nd week of My Sexy Saturday.
Remember the song that has the lyric ‘Kiss me once and kiss me twice and kiss me once again, it’s been a long, long time”?
Our sexiness can happen anywhere, anytime, day or night. People fall in love in many different ways. It could be on a date, at a school dance, on a hike, with the boy or girl next door, just anywhere two or sometimes more people or beings are drawn together because of that feeling called love.
Here we go then!
A broken breath shook her chest. He stepped in and sauntered to her bunk. She turned to him and got to her feet. His manly scent enveloped her and clouded her mind. “Now is
not the best time, Marko.”
“It’s never the time, is it?” His husky whisper, coupled with his gentle cupping of her chin, sent shivers of pleasant anticipation through her. “This could be the only time we
have.”
Like a butterfly’s wings, his lips brushed hers and caused her breath to quiver. She wanted him to continue, to lay his hands on her, and pull her against his hard body. As if he read
her mind, his arms wrapped around her waist. He deepened his kiss with a groan, tightening his hold around her. Her lips parted and she breathed him in, allowing his tongue to explore her mouth. For a moment, she tasted wine on his skin, deep and affecting, like his voice. The soft bristles of his beard teased her neck and made her wonder what their joining would be like.
God almighty, the man knew just how to handle her. Her legs gave out under her and she lost her balance, leaning into him. His tongue trailed over her chin and down her neck,
coaxing a soft moan from her.“Sirena of the Adriatic,” he murmured, wrapping his arm
around her shoulders. “Consider yourself claimed by me.”
His words stirred her in a wrong way. She’d always belong to her husband, until the day they unite in death. Not this man, even if his kissing and busy hands fed her hungry fire.
“No.” She scrambled from his hold and pushed him away. “I cannot be claimed.”
His broad shoulders rose and fell with his fast breaths while his lips thinned in irritation. “Why do you refuse me?”
“I have a ship to run and this is not good for either of us.” Pretending to be busy examining the map on the low table, she avoided looking at him. “Besides, once we’ve taken you to your
destination and our obligations are fulfilled, we won’t see each other again. Ever.”
“It doesn’t have to end there.” His solemn voice carried a certain hint of sincerity, but who was he kidding? She was a tough woman, living a man’s life, battling the sea each day, and
he...though his hungry and long glances had not escaped her, she couldn’t be certain of his intentions.
She dismissed him with a wave of her hand. “Leave.”
“Why won’t you look at me?”
She turned slowly and let her gaze drift over him. He stood rigid, his arms held to his sides. Hunger in his hard, piercing gaze flooded her with a whole new surge of passion. She had seen that crescent crease in the corner of his left eyebrow on only one face before, but could it be? A gulp of air forced into her clenched chest.
“Please go,” she whispered.
He closed his eyes and shook his head. The same fire still burned in his eyes when he opened them. “Perhaps later tonight I’ll find you in a better mood. I can see my pallet is still in the corner.” After a deep bow, he left her alone in the cabin while the merriment abounded on deck.
She exhaled long and hard. She came too damn close to succumbing to him. No way could she ever afford to fall for his charms. Brushing her finger over her lips where just a moment ago Marko’s mouth had sealed hers, she reveled in the sensuous tingles rushing through her. His kissing skills were impressive. Better than she had imagined. The way he pulled her into his arms, pressed her against his firm chest, seized her lips...she buried her face in her hands and drew a long breath. No point losing her head in the short moment of insanity. This would not happen again.
